Farming System and Sustainable Agriculture. Weed Management. Principles of Organic Farming. Geo-informatics, Nano-technology and Precision Farming. Rain fed Agriculture and Watershed Management.
2. Genetics and Plant Breeding:- Fundamentals of Genetics. Fundamentals of Plant Breeding. Crop Improvement (Kharif and Rabi).
3. Seed Production Technology:- Principle of seed technology,·Seed production technology for self- pollinated, cross pollinated and often cross pollinated crops. Seed Multiplication Ratio, Seed Replacement Rate (SRR) and Varietal Replacement Rate (VRR), Cost Benefit Ratio (CBR), Distinctness, Uniformity & Stability (DUS), varieties developed by State Agriculture
   Universities (SAUs).

Seed Processing & Certification:- Seed certification process, phase of certification, Seed testing- Seed Sampling techniques & procedure, Germination and viability test, Genetic purity test-grow out test.
