RRB Ticket Supervisor/Clerk Exam Pattern

  • The CBT-1 (Prelims) and CBT-2 are objective-type exams that consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). It is divided into several sections that test the candidate’s general awareness, mathematics, general intelligence and reasoning.
  • 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT): Common for all notified posts of this CEN 05/2024. 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT): shall be based on qualification marks obtained by candidates in 1st Stage CBT.

RRB NTPC 1st Stage CBT-1 (Prelims) Exam Pattern

  1. Mode of Examination: Online (Computer Based Test)
  2. Question Type: Objective type (MCQs)
  3. Total Number of Questions: 100 Questions
  4. Maximum Marks: 100 Marks
  5. Exam Time: 90 minutes (1 hour & 30 Minutes) (For PwBD: 2 Hours)
  6. Negative Marking Scheme: There will be negative marking and 1/3 mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
  7. Question Paper Language: The question paper will be provided in English language by default, but candidates can select their local/regional language from drop down menu. The languages listed are Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

  4. Maximum Marks: 120 Marks
  5. Exam Time: 120 minutes (2 Hours)
  6. Negative Marking Scheme: There will be negative marking and 1/3 mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
  7. Note: Syllabus, Question Paper Languages and Subjects are same as CBT Stage-1 (Prelims).

RRB Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST)

  • For the posts of Account Clerk Cum Typist, Junior Clerk Cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist and Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, the Typing Skill Test (TST) of qualifying nature shall be conducted.
  • The candidates should be able to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on Personal Computer only without editing tools and spell check facility.
  • Options for typing skill test in Hindi, Kruti Dev and Mangal font shall be made available for typing skill test on Personal Computer.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

  1. Stage One (CBT-1): Minimum percentage of qualifying marks in CBT-1 for eligibility in various categories: UR 40%, EWS 40%, OBC (Non creamy layer) 30%, SC 30% and ST-25%.
  2. Stage Two (CBT-2): The candidates need to secure a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each paper section to qualify that is, general awareness, mathematics, general intelligence and reasoning. This is applicable to all candidates irrespective of community or category.

Medical Standard Test

Distant Vision: 6/12, nil with or without glasses. Near Vision: Sn 0.6 combined with or without glasses where reading or close work is required. (C2 as prescribed in NTPC Undergraduate & Graduate Notification)
