Uttarakhand Lecturer Polytechnic Exam Pattern / Scheme 2024

• General English compulsory only for Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Modern Management and Secretarial Practice.
• There will be negative marking of 1/4 question marks against each wrong answer.
• Examination pattern and syllabus for Assistant Research Officer, PWD is same as Chemistry subject.
• All questions will be multiple choice type questions.
• Paper-I and Paper-II has duration of 2 hours each where as Paper-III (applied subject) has duration of 3 hours.

1. वर्ण-विचार : स्वर एवं व्यंजन, स्वर और व्यंजन वर्णों का वर्गीकरण, वर्णों का उच्चारण-स्थान, अनुस्वार, अनुनासिक, विसर्ग आदि ।
2. हिन्दी शब्द- समूह : तत्सम तद्भव, देशज, विदेशी शब्द |
3. हिन्दी शब्द- रचना : उपसर्ग, प्रत्यय, सन्धि, समास ।
4. पर्यायवाची, विलोम शब्द |
5. अनेकार्थक शब्द, शब्द-युग्म, श्रुतिसम भिन्नार्थी शब्द |
6. वाक्यांश के लिए एक शब्द ।
7. अशुद्धिशोधन : शब्दगत वर्तनी अशुद्धिशोधन, वाक्यगत अशुद्धिशोधन |
8. लोकोक्ति एवं मुहावरे ।

2. Direct and Indirect Narration

4. Articles, Adjectives, Adverbs, Conjunctions and Question tags
5. Synthesis: Simple, Compound and Complex
6. Correct use of tenses
7. One word substitution
8. Synonyms, Antonyms and Homonyms
9. Use of Correct prepositions
10. Subject Verb agreement
11. Correction of sentences
12. Idioms and Phrasal Verbs
13. Comprehension: A passage of appropriate length on scientific/ technical theme for testing the ability of the candidate in the following areas: Familiarity with vocabulary, Knowledge of the fundamentals of English Grammar and Thematic understanding of the passage.

UKPSC Polytechnic Lecturer Basic Computer Operation Practical Examination Ability Test Syllabus

1. Microsoft Windows Operating system and Microsoft Office
2. (Maximum Marks – 100; Minimum Qualifying Marks to be obtained – 40; Time allowed: One Hour)
3. The paper shall be set from the given syllabus broadly taking one question from each i.e. – (1) Windows and internet (2) M.S. – word (3) M.S. – Access (4) M.S. – Excel and (5) M.S. – Power Point.
4. Note -1- Each question shall have one action to be performed on the system each having 20 marks.
5. Note -2 – Printout of the output shall be taken and given for evaluation.
6. Computer test will only be qualifying in nature with minimum 40% marks is required to qualify.
