UKPSC GGIC / GIC Principal Syllabus 2024 Exam Date & Pattern

The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has issued notification for the recruitment on 692 posts of Principals in Rajkiya Inter collage (GIC) and Govt girls inter collage (GGIC). The last date to fill online application form is already over on 3 April 2024. The exam is scheduled to be conducted in the month of September 2024.

This a massive recruitment in education department after a long time and very bright opportunity for govt job seekers who have done their masters with B.Ed. Paper-1 General studies and Language Proficiency (120 Marks)

General English (20 Marks): Comprehension, word power, grammar and usage with emphasis on communicative and administrative usage, Use of correct Prepositions, One- word substitution, Synonyms, Antonyms, Tenses, Idioms and Phrases, Active/Passive voice, Direct & indirect speech.
General Hindi (20 Marks): स्वर एवं व्यंजन, स्वर और व्यंजन वर्णों का वर्गीकरण, संज्ञा, सर्वनाम, विचार, तत्सम, तद्भव, प्रत्यय, उपसर्ग, समास, संधि, पर्यायवाची, विलोम, वाक्यांश के लिए एक शब्द, मुहावरे एवं लोकोक्ति, विराम चिन्ह
General Knowledge (40 Marks): General knowledge and current affairs- national and international including economic issues, polity issues, environment issues, science and technology and any other current issues. Candidates are expected to have a thorough general awareness of the above subjects with reference to Uttarakhand also.
Reasoning Ability (20 Marks): Similarities, differences, space visualisation, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification and arithmetical number series, arithmetical computations and other analytical functions etc.
Computer Proficiancy (20 Marks): Number system, decimal, binary, octal, hexadecimal; computer definition and its components, types & generations of computers, CPU, ALU, memory, primary & secondary memory, RAM, ROM, input & output devices, hardware & software, operating systems, computer networks, IP address, internet, LAN, WAN, e-mail, worldwide web, web browser, website, MS word, MS excel, MS access, MS power point, computer virus, multimedia

As per ukpsc examination calendar 2024, published on the official website, Uttarakhand principal exam 2024 will be conducted on 29 September 2024.
